The Academic Staff College makes arrangement for the stay of participants in certain privately owned guesthouses. The participants are free to exercise their choice about their stay for which they have to immediately contact the concerned guesthouse after receiving selection letter from the ASC.

- HOTEL CITY INN: About 100 meters from Summer Hill Railway Station, half a kilometer from ASC and approachable by bus from Shimla. TARIFF: Tariff (per person per day inclusive of luxury tax and facility of colour TV, geyser and telephone) – Room No. 7, 8, 9 & 15 – Rs. 75/- per person (three persons in a room); Room No. 6, 10 & 12 – Rs. 85/- per person (two persons in a room); Room No. 11 & 14 – Rs. 100/- per person (two persons in a room). Family Room No. 4 & 5 – Rs. 240/- (two persons in a room), Room No. 2 & 3 – Rs. 280/- (two persons in a room) and Room No. 1 – Rs. 360/ (three persons in a room). - CHANDEL GUEST HOUSE (MIDDLE SANGTI SUMMER HILL: Rs. 75/- per person per day (two persons in a room) equipped with TV and geyser. Facilities of homely food and STD available. - SHIMLA VIEW HOSTEL, HARI NAGAR, SHIMLA: Located on Kalka-Shimla National Highway, 3 kms before ISBT near Barrier (Tourism Workshop), Rs.50/- per person per day for Room No. 201 to 204 attached bath, hot water and parking facility, Rs.30/- for conveyance charges from Hostel to ASC and back (minimum 5 persons). Conveyance facility during odd hours and holidays would be available on request to visit city @ Rs.25/- per person (five minimum). - SPARSH GUEST HOUSE: Rs. 60/- per person per day, hot water available, facilities of homely food. Note: Due to paucity of accommodation, the participants are advised not to bring their families with them and if they bring, they will have to make their own arrangements for stay in accommodation other than earmarked for Academic Staff College.
