Dr. (Mrs.) Kiran Rekha is Reader/Deputy Director in UGC – Academic Staff College of H.P. University. She joined the institution in February 1995. Before joining Academic Staff College she was lecturer (Zoology) in MCM DAV College Kangra, H.P. from August 1990. She used to take practical classes of M.Sc. Zoology during Ph.D. research in H.P. University. She is Ph.D. in Zoology (1991) on process of regeneration in chick muscles from Animal Physiology laboratory of Biosciences Department, H.P. University. She scored first divisions throughout and first class first positions in M.Sc. (Gold Medal) and M.Phil (Gold Medal). She has taken scholarships and also qualified UGC-NET in 1984 for 5 years of research. She has research experience of 25 years and teaching experience of 21 years.

Dr. (Mrs.) Kiran Rekha has publications on various environmental issues, personality development and teaching-learning process. She has compiled reading materials for orientation programme and interdisciplinary refresher courses. She has submitted a project on campus diversity study sponsored by the FORD FOUNDATION. She is actively involved in management of all courses and co-ordination of orientation programmes organized by Academic Staff College, Shimla. She is resource person for orientation programmes in Academic Staff Colleges of other universities also. She has been member of various committees, interview panel, examinations and editorial board. She was appointed warden of ‘Rani Laxmi Bai Girls Hostel’ of HPU for four years in 1998.
