Dr.Kulwant Singh Pathania (born August 1, 1962) joined as Deputy Director in the Academic Staff College on March 4, 2000. Dr. Pathania holds M.Com. M.Phil. and Ph.D. degree from H.P. University. Dr. Pathania continues to be on the teaching assignment in Department of Commerce, Himachal Pradesh University since October 1992. Before joining the university, he served Lecturer in the Himachal Pradesh Cooperative Bank Training Institute for 6 years. Dr. Pathania is also acting as Coordinator of Management Programme of IGNOU and is also the approved counsellor for Management Programme

He has published 50 research papers in reputed journals of the country and abroad. He has produced 8 Ph Ds, three dozen M.Phils and guided more than 50 students for the completion of their MBA and MFC degrees. He has completed four major research projects sponsored by ICSSR, UGC, Government of India and State Government. His areas of specialization are Management, HRD/HRM Business environment. He has written a book entitled, Management of Cooperative Finance. He has also completed a study project on campus diversity issues sponsored by the FORD FOUNDATION PROJECT. He has attended two Trainers' Training Programme and has also attended a number of seminars and conferences of national level. Dr. Pathania is on the panel of experts of IGNOU Delhi, GNDU Amritsar, GJU, Hisar, Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Sirsa and written a lessons for correspondence courses for the classes of B.Com (HPU), M.Com (IGNOU), BCA, MIB (GJU). He is visiting regularly to the staff colleges of neighbouring universities as a resource person.
